A paperback version of "Kids' Book of Adventure Projects" is available at lower cost. My purpose in writing the book was to give kids some exciting activities that teach them skills and build confidence in their abilities, guiding them through enjoyable building and toymaking as they make fascinating toys and scientific/magic devices for play.
A child needs to do such things as they grow up, learning all the while, perhaps getting a nick or splinter along the way, but becoming confident in their ability to solve problems, and work their way logically through to finally complete a great toy! Video games and television offer no such skills.
Making these toys also offers great opportunity for parent-child fun and interaction.
